Me like the first one... so i'm gonna watching it. Heeeeey it's the 10 commandments killer 😭. Great film, good analysis. If we ever go outside the train... WE ALL FREEZE AND DIE. I enjoyed it. Darker then I thought it would be. Seemed a tad low budget but that didn't bother me. Nick Fury and Alfred are in, I'm gonna watch it. Damn Thresher Maws from Mass Effect. Class war: the movie.

I had the privilege of seeing this movie in Korea when it was originally released. A fan of The Host, I knew this director could blend the absurd nature of the topic into an interesting topic. What I forgot is that he has this way of making optimistically bleak endings. Genuinely, this movie is transcendent in its message, are we stuck on an endless loop? Do we ride the same history and violence because we need too? what would happen when the day comes that someone decides to change the "status quo" All this is very meaty food for thought but sometimes not the reason everyone will go see the movie. Hopefully the one released stateside hasn't been edited and you see the beauty as well as horror of humanity. Some positives? Very well shot. You could feel the immensity of the train juxtaposed to the claustrophobia they must feel. -acting. In all its ridiculousness, i never felt like anyone was ever overdoing it. Seriously, even with Tilda Swinton's caricature of a person, she was spot on in the insanity of her part.
Some negatives? The ending. Like I said, this guy makes bleak optimism or optimistically bleak endings. There is a difference, I don't know where this falls in but after that I needed some straight up cheeriness and the ending didn't do that and while its a minor quibble, it's my quibble.

Willy-Wonka Sequel! <3 I had No Idea! I want to See This SO Bad now... I'll watch Red. Wouldn't the tracks eventually wear down and derail the train. This movie was awesome. It was cool, original, and dark as shit. It really went for the surreal fantasy elements and it worked. That being said, it is weird and has plenty of plot holes. But all movies have them, a movie is good when it makes you forget them when you watch it.

I watched it. the concept was amazing, the movie was weird it was worth it tho to see chanel #5 fighting like that. Wilford - Capitalist Curtis - Socialist/Communist Nam - Anarchist People in the back aren't the 99% they're just the poor. The people in the middle are the 99% or just the majority based on actual accurate. To me, it's supposed to outline the flaws in the 3 main ideologies shown. Curtis wants equality, but he sacrifices his morals for it. Nam wants freedom, but he sacrifices living for it. Wilford wants a sustainable life/economy on the train but he sacrifices others for it. Each one also fail in implementing their ideology. Wilford does because he alienates the poor which led to revolt. Curtis fails because he'd only end up the same as Wilford and eventually understands the train (the world) can't ruin without sacrificing lives. Nam fails because he only leads everyone to death. If it were just about Capitalism, either Curtis or Nam would've succeeded an it'd have a much happier ending.

Bong Joon Ho's SNOWPIERCER is a bit of a conundrum. The filmmaking is sloppy, it's way too long without an original bone in it's body, but I was also totally delighted until the pompous last scene. Ho has the guts to kill off much of his cast and leave open doors with little explanations. That's why I was so confused. It's not a good movie but it looks great, has superb action sequences but it's plot and theme are simplistic and banal at best. Good things, bad things, could be the core of this film that feels both ambitious and a slack off at the same time. Again, I'm perplexed!
One thing to add, with three amazing performances in one year, Tilda Swinton once and for all proves what a treasure she is. Swinton has the unique ability to be over the top, silly, vulnerable, and even moving all at the same time. Unheard of and simply brilliant.

Funnily enough the tail section looks like a Soviet style factory. We all know the truth, WILLY WONKA 2. Girl: Theres a tunnel up ahead. Hero: Yea? Girl: a fukkin long one! Me damn this lil bich did more cursing than i remember. Be patient and enjoy. Why did Wilford say 'nice' at the end though, like it was his plan for the train to explode or some shit. This looks far different than the Golden Circle trailer. Shows how confident the studio is now compared to the original. This movie depicts my exact view on life. if you're gonna live a life as any other person would, why live at all? we gotta enjoy this and not fall into the routine. #fuckthesystem.

This was actually really good give it a try. One of the best scenes in cinema to me. I just love the uprising of the working class! Thrilling and orgasmic haha.
